odori-saba, the dancing mackerel. why does he dance? no one knows. actually, it’s probably because he’s angry at being pulled out of the tank and having his flanks sliced off to feed obnoxious tourists. or it’s an involuntary nervous twitch. a bit gross, but definitely fresh.
