It’s surprising as hell, but Nitzer Ebb’s Douglas McCarthy’s stage presence hasn’t diminished a bit. The voice emerging from his compact frame at DEMF was something akin to a giant pulverizing wheel. So afterwards when I chatted him up it was even more shocking to find him a cheerful and considerate fellow.
