Forever Changes
It’s been a bit of a layoff, my lovelies, but don’t fret, I’ve got great news and will approach this space with renewed vigor soon enough.
First off, Miami was a great time. Not as fun as previous years; there was a feeling of spacing that left bookings and whatnot seeming a bit thin. The M3 Summit was a grand affair as usual, bringing down established talent as well as up-and-comers. Remix Hotel is on the rise as well — I’m anxious to see how their partnership with M3 develops.
Photos are here, review is here.
Second, I’ve started to settle into a new gig, as a staff writer/reporter at Advertising Age’s Creativity. I’m also going to be writing for the companion website, AdCritic.com. As tough as it was to say goodbye to my colleagues at the Post, I’m so excited about Creativity and the directions the magazine is taking. More about that later.
Lastly, I’m slowly recovering from another bi-annual technological revolt. Currently a kaput hard drive is on its way to one of the greatest tech wizards ever to haunt Detroit and the husk of a once-working iPod sits on my dresser. Of course, in life, all things are transitory, but I sure wish I had backed up the good stuff.
At any rate, drop by often. I’ve heard a lot of great tunes lately, and I’ll be sure to keep you posted on that front. Once I get used to this wild advertising industry I’ll surely have thoughts there, too.
